Let us bring your music to life!
Welcome to McCready Recording Studio. We are anxious to help you with your project and will make every effort to make sure you feel comfortable and at ease while at the studio. Our goal is to make your recording session a delightful experience.
STUDIO TOUR: If possible, we would like for our clients to take a tour of our Nationally Awarded Studio to familiarize the client with our rooms and surroundings. The studio rooms have been tuned with reflectors and absorbers for sound control. A booklet with information will be presented and discussed, and your questions are welcome.
PRACTICE: Know your project prior to coming into the studio to save time and expense. Your time includes setting up the equipment for EQ’s of instruments, vocals, recording and mixing. Mastering is a different process for greater quality of sound and is optional. To save time, musicians should have their instruments tuned, dust/dirt free and chords and amps in good working condition upon entering the studio.
FOOD: We have water available to all clients. If you will need any other food or drink please bring it to the studio, we do not have vending. Studio sessions can be lengthy so we suggest you bring snacks and/or beverages.
BECAUSE OF THE SENSITIVITY AND SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT IN THE CONTROL ROOM – DRINKS, SNACK OR FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CONTROL ROOM, WHICH WILL BE THE RESPONSIBLIY OF THE CLIENT IF DAMAGE OCCURS. Drinks and food are allowed in the reception room.
BE ON TIME: Your time starts at the time of your appointment so it is wise to be at the studio at least 15 minutes prior to the time appointed. Sometimes there are other artists that have reserved time after your appointment, therefore, we do not start another song if it cannot be recorded or mixed in a timely way.
STUDIO MUSICIANS: Studio musicians are available upon request at a reasonable fee, which is paid to the musician artist. It is up to the client to inform the studio of dates and times so that we can arrange the appointment.
SATISFACTION: After the project is completed with recording, missing and/or mastering, we will have you review the CD in our control room and also play the CD in your car. If you are satisfied with the project at that time, but later decide you would like an adjustment, addition or deletion, contact us for an appointment. You will be charged at the current rate per hour for our engineer to make changes.
CELL PHONES: Cell phones will be required to remain off during recording sessions to help us provide you with an efficient, creative experience.
CATEGORIES: Musicians have different goals when coming to the studio for a recording. SELF SATISFACTION - You may have in mind making a recording for your own self-satisfaction, that you can share with family and friends. LOCAL STAR – to become known as an area talent that will play in local venues. ARTIST STAR – Where the artist wishes to attain the highest level as a professional artist, performing and playing to national or international audiences.
Deposit- A deposit of $60 is required prior to your recording appointment and will not be returned if an appointment is missed, as we will have engineers on duty and other expenses.
The minimum package is three hours at an affordable $75.00 per hour. This allows time for EQ’s, recording and mixing. If more time is needed, the extra time will be charged, which includes the engineer. Remember**the more instruments and singers, the longer it takes to record and longer to mix.
Payment - All fees have to be paid before we can give you a finished project at the end of the session. We have the capacity to make copies of your project in the studio. Your copy of your project with no print on the CD cover, in a paper sleeve is $2.75 per CD. A copy with print on the cover of the CD in a jewel case is $3.50 per CD.
SCRATCH CDS: If you wish to practice with your band members or with studio musicians prior to the official recording, we recommend a “SCRATCH CD” be made first. Up to 3 CD’s are included free.
